Coffee, code, and why Core Web Vitals matter

August 9, 2026

(03) STORY Coffee, code, and why Core

Kathmandu mornings start with coffee and a deploy checklist. Not because ritual is cute. High traffic WordPress punishes guesswork.

On Northeastern University London, the win was not one plugin toggle. It was asset discipline: knowing which third party scripts earned their keep, and which ones were just expensive guests at the party. HubSpot and TrustArc can coexist with a sane mobile experience if someone owns the budget.

Measure first. Cut second. Then get outside. Hiking is where I notice which architectural decisions will still make sense next quarter. If a performance “fix” only works when nobody opens the CRM form, it is not a fix. It is a magic trick.

Core Web Vitals are not a Lighthouse vanity contest. They are a proxy for whether users stay long enough for the business to happen. Treat them like product metrics and your mornings get quieter.
